“Dussehra reminds us that good always triumphs over evil, lighting the path of righteousness for all.”
The pre-primary and primary wing of Darshan Academy, Meerut, celebrated Dussehra on October 10, 2024, with vibrant activities designed to enrich students’ understanding of this significant festival. A special assembly was conducted by pre-primary students, who spoke about the significance of the festival. To engage students further, general knowledge questions about Dussehra were asked, encouraging curiosity and learning. This year, the school adopted an eco-friendly approach by avoiding firecrackers in Ravana’s effigy. Instead, students participated in an innovative activity where they burst balloons on Ravana’s ten heads, each labeled with negative traits like anger and ego, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Art and craft activities like mask-making, thumb-printing, and paper-folding added excitement to the celebration while teaching valuable life lessons. The celebration beautifully blended fun and learning, leaving a lasting impact on the young minds.
