“Water is the driving force of all nature.”
Darshan Academy, Meerut, observed Jal Pakhwada from April 16-30, 2026, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and the Central Board of Secondary Education to raise awareness about water conservation among students. The fortnight began with a Jal Shapath, where students and staff pledged to conserve water and use it responsibly. Various activities, such as drawing, poster-making, slogan-writing, essay-writing, quizzes, debates, and awareness sessions, were organized across different sections of the school. The Kindergarten wing participated enthusiastically in a drawing activity, while Primary and Middle section students expressed their creativity through awareness bracelets and impactful posters on water conservation. The Senior Section concluded the celebration with critical thinking on issues such as water scarcity, sustainable use, and conservation strategies, encouraging students to become responsible citizens and spread awareness in society. Special assemblies also highlighted the importance of water conservation, preventing water wastage, safe hygiene practices, and protecting natural water resources. The celebration concluded successfully, leaving students inspired and committed towards building a sustainable future.
